Looking forward to participating to this! Next October will be held an online conference celebrating the 10 years anniversary of the Global Microbiome Conservancy (GMbC), a non-profit organization focused on preserving the diversity of the human gut microbiome, particularly from underrepresented populations. Mathilde Poyet and Mathieu Groussin, the leading team of the GMbC, have organised a great line-up of speakers to mark the event: Speaker programme of the GMbC 10Y anniversary online conference.

Over the last 2 weeks at the University of Bath, we hosted an EMBO Practical Course on “Computational and experimental microbiomics, organised by Phil Ingham, Edan Foley, Tom Williams and Tiffany Taylor. Link here (maybe it will die at some point?) I had the privilege to teach a bunch of really brilliant and talented early career researchers from all around the world about general microbiome analysis methods, as well as a very fun tutorial along with Edan Foley on the transcriptomics of zebrafish in response to conventional microbiome colonization. We also hosted very talented speakers from the field, including Mathieu Groussin, Pauline Scanlan, Bastien Boussau and others. ...

I was featured in podcast from the Milner Centre for Evolution (now Centre for Evolution; CEvol) at the University of Bath. Prof Turi King, director of the CEvol, and I discussed about our research and the microbiome in general, under the theme “Understanding the Complexities of the Human Gut Microbiome”.
